Harley Davidson released their 3rd quater earningsreport today.  Harley profits are down 84% in the 3rd quater.  When speaking in dollar amounts this equals 26.6 million compared to 166.5 million in 2008.  Harley also announced that they will be getting rid of the Buell style motorcyle.  They are discontinuing the Buell so they can concentrate more on the Harley Davidson line.  Even though it sounds like dismal news, this quaters earnings are not as low as last quaters.  Last quater they were reportedly down 91%.  Harley Davidson is still considering relocating its York County plant to another location.  A decision on the future of the York Harley Davidson plant is expected later this year.
